FUEL PRICE INCREASE ACROSS MALAYSIA

The Malaysian government recently announced a nationwide increase in the price of fuel. The new price for fuel, effective 5th June 2008, is as follows:

RM2.70 / liter for petrol (previously RM1.92)
RM2.58 / liter for diesel (previously RM1.58)

Despite the steep increase in the prices for fuel and all other accompanying products and services, Borneo Adventure will hold all its rates for the remainder of its contracted period of 2008 / 2009.


 

MINOR RESHUFFLING

There has been some minor reshuffling in the Kuching office with our long-suffering Operations Executive Timothy moving to the Admin Department and Grace, our junior guide,  trying her hand in the Operations Department. She will also be called upon to guide whenever she is needed.


 

Hosted dinner with representatives from the Malaysian Gas Association Secretariat

We recently hosted a dinner at The Sarawak Club with representatives of the Malaysian Gas Association Secretariat about the possibility of  Borneo as the destination for their International Gas Union Conference in September 2008. The representatives were Mdm Chai Siew Lin (Head Corporate Communication, Malaysian Gas Association), Ms Putri Mohd Kassim (Assistant Secretary, Malaysian Gas Association) and Nal-A'zizi Nawawi (Gas Supply Planning, Petronas) while Sabrina Loh of Hilton KL was also in attendance.
